Now that the holidays are over, it’s been back to the grind.   It’s always a struggle at first to get back into normalcy, but I actually find that prioritizing self care really helps me get back to being productive.  I’m sharing my top 12 products that are staples in my self-care routine, and best part is that you can find them all at Walmart!

I picked up a Walmart+ membership during the pandemic as it was a lifesaver in getting everything I needed delivered to my doorstep.  The convenience and affordability of Walmart cannot be beat, in my opinion.  And now my membership includes Walmart+ free shipping with no order minimum on items from Walmart.com (excludes oversized / freight & Marketplace items).  There are next-day and two-day shipping options so I still get that instant gratification!

I’ve broken down my self-care favorites into a few categories below — hair, skincare, and sleep.  Whenever I’m putting in an order with my Walmart+ membership, I’ll oftentimes add in a beauty item or two to try out and it’s how I’ve come across so many new gems!  I love that Walmart.com has such an incredible selection of products especially in the self-care category.  I’m sharing the ones that I keep on regular rotation below and almost all of these are an absolute steal when it comes to return-on-investment!

#1: Remington Wet2Style

Having a good hair day always puts me in a good mood and even better when it’s using a tool that cuts down on heat damage plus saves me time!  I picked up the new Remington Wet2Style 1.25″ Curling Iron just before Christmas.  My schedule was crazy busy at the time and when I saw that this tool actually safely styles damp hair while offering 50% more protection from heat damage, I knew I had to try it out.

The first time I tried this curler, I couldn’t get the clamp to work, but after the second try, I realized that I just needed to curl slightly larger sections of hair.  It legit does exactly what it claims — I take my hair that’s about 80% dry and get it styled with beachy curls in under 20 minutes — I get about 30 more minutes back in my day!  To see a demo tutorial of me using the Remington Wet2Style curling iron, be sure to check out this Instagram stories highlight.

Plus, the tool gives me so much more volume than I normally get with a traditional curling iron, and I’m not using nearly as much heat on my hair either!  There’s even additional protection as the barrel is coated with ceramic and titanium.  At under $25, I can definitely say this hot air curling iron is one of my favorite Walmart finds!!

#2: Hair Food Shampoo / Conditioner

I’ve had my hair balayaged for years now and as a result, my hair has always needed a shampoo/conditioner that is really nourishing and protects my color.  Hair Food shampoo and conditioner products are some of the best that I’ve tried and even give me the same salon quality results that I get with much more expensive brands!  I love that Hair Food products use clean simple ingredients like the ones found in your own kitchen, plus it’s all silicone free, paraben free, sulfate free, and dye free.  My hair always feel super strong, soft, and silky smooth after using Hair Food products, plus the scent is amazing!!

#3: Mini Beauty Fridge

I held off on getting myself a beauty fridge for the longest time, thinking it wouldn’t make that much of a difference.  Finally this last year I decided to pick one up and y’all, it really takes your self care game to the next level!  This mini fridge is the perfect size to keep on your vanity and I just love the retro aesthetic.  Plus, it’s super quiet and will prolong the life of your beauty products!

#4: The Original Mighty Patch

I get the occasional hormonal breakout during that time of the month and these acne patches are a must-have!  I learned about these patches from a college friend who came to stay at our house once and we were talking about how her acne prone skin was literally transformed, thanks in part to these easy-to-use acne patches.  I apply these overnight and I literally wake up to acne that went from red and painful to a small bump that’s barely noticeable!

#5: Freeman Beauty Micro -Darts Pro

These patches are a semi-recent discovery of mine but are essentially similar to the above Mighty Patch.  Here, instead of targeting troublesome acne spots, I have these micro-darts that are designed to target dark spots and fine lines.  These skincare patches are able to penetrate deeper into the surface layers of the skin.  Again, I leave these patches on overnight and just love seeing the transformation the next morning!

#6: Rose Quartz Roller

If you’ve never used a facial roller before, it’s one of my favorite ways to end my skincare routine every night.  I keep my rose quartz roller in my mini beauty fridge and I love the chilled relaxing feeling of rolling the stone over my face at the end of the day.  It helps me de-stress but additionally it’s also amazing for de-puffing and moving toxins out via your lymphatic system.  At under $10, this rose quartz facial roller is a steal!!

#7: Spa Sciences AERO Sonic Infuser

If you want to maximize the results of your skincare products, you need this sonic infuser from Spa Sciences!  It’s under $30 and the sonic vibrations along with the thermal warming work together to open up your pores which means the products penetrate deeper into the skin.  Plus, it’s so easy to use as it automatically turns on/off upon contact with skin and a single charge is able to last months for me!

#8: TruSkin Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C is the one product that I would say you MUST have as part of your daytime skincare routine.  It’s the most powerful product when it comes to anti-aging and it makes skin look brighter and more evenly toned.  Vitamin C can get pretty pricey, but this one from TruSkin is the most affordable yet effective one that I’ve found.  This one also combines hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, and witch hazel along with Vitamin C to target the most common signs of aging — plus it’s under $20!!  Just check out the nearly 5000 review and 4.2 stars on Walmart.com!

#9: Bio Oil

I have super dry skin and it’s especially bad in the wintertime.  I’ve been using this Bio Oil every morning and night since it’s non-greasy and I can get dressed almost immediately afterwards without leaving any sort of residue.  The scent is really light and also helps with scars that I have from my tummy tuck surgery!

#10: L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Night Serum

Retinol is a must-have if you’re in your 30s and wanting to get a step up on fine lines and wrinkles.  This L’Oreal Paris serum is special in that it contains pure retinol, considered to be the most potent form of retinol!  It’s patent-pending formula is formulated to remain stable and I can honestly say that you will see results with this serum!  Start with a couple times a week at first to let your skin slowly adjust and slowly work up to applying it nightly.  You cannot find a better, more effective retinol serum at the drugstore and it’s under $30!!

#11: Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Going hand-in-hand with my dry skin are my chapped lips, especially in wintertime!  I’ve used the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for years and could not believe that Walmart actually carries this product with an everyday low price that keeps me coming back for more!  This product comes in a variety of flavors, but my favorite is the Berry and it gives the most subtle rosy sheen to your lips as well!

#12: Sutera Dream Deep Contour Pillow

I firmly believe that a good night’s sleep can fix anything!  I recently switched to using this pillow at night as I was having some neck pain and I am in love with the way it’s designed to fit and contour every type of sleeper!  The shape is a bit weird at first as there are what look like little wings on either side, but it’s so great for your arms to cradle the pillow.  The memory foam has just the right amount of support (it’s on the more firm side, which I prefer!) and I wake up feeling completely rested!
